Will you send your written evidence to the UK Parliament ref. drones, UAV, UAS etc? Last date: September 13, 2013.
It’s not a surprise that the drone technology is boosting a number of investigations and projects around the world, both into the private sectors, and public institutions.
This post refers to the new enquiry of the british parliament, namely its Defence Committee, which is gathering original written contributions referring the issue the current and future use of Remotely Piloted Air Systems by the UK military and intelligence communities.
They ask for written texts, or other original contributions about drones drones , to be delivered by September 13, 2013.
They say (see the Committee website here) “The UK’s RPAS capabilities are established and, potentially, expanding. (…) Domestically, in recent months, test flights to prove the technology for civilian unmanned aircraft have been carried out by the ASTRAEA consortium. The aim of the programme is to enable the routine use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in all classes of airspace without the need for restrictive or specialised conditions of operation”. Info
